LAHORE: England’s hard-hitting batter Tom Kohler-Cadmore has registered for the much-anticipated Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 player draft, the franchise league announced on Friday.
The PSL made the announcement by sharing a compilation video, of Kohler’s batting exploits during his previous appearances at the league.
“England’s dynamic hitter Tom Kohler-Cadmore enters the HBL PSL Draft,” the PSL captioned the video.
Kohler-Cadmore is one of the most in-demand players in the shortest format and has played almost every top franchise league around the world including the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
He has featured in five editions of the PSL, representing Quetta Gladiators in 2018 and was a consistent part of Peshawar Zalmi since the 2021 season.
During his PSL career, Kohler-Cadmore played 27 matches and scored 586 runs with the help of four half-centuries.
Notably, Tom Kohler-Cadmore is the 12th foreign player to have signed up for the upcoming 10th edition of the marquee league, joining compatriots Tom Curran, David Willey, Dawid Malan and Jason Roy, New Zealand’s Daryl Mitchell, Australia’s Alex Carey and Usman Khawaja, Bangladesh’s Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw and Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza.
It is pertinent to mention that the highly-anticipated player draft will be held in Balochistan for the first time, with Gwadar hosting the key event on January 11, 2025.
The pick order for the player draft has also been announced, with two-time champions Lahore Qalandars making the first pick in the opening round of the platinum category, followed by arch-rivals Karachi Kings.
2019 champions Quetta Gladiators will make the third pick, while Peshawar Zalmi will have the fourth.
Last season’s runners-up, Sultans, and reigning champions United will make the fifth and sixth picks, respectively.
